Higher Heights Mission
Higher Heights cherishes our retired and senior adults as valued members of our church family, recognizing their wealth of ministry experience, godly wisdom, and Christlike compassion. Our mission is to keep them actively engaged, well-resourced, and contributing to Christ’s work, celebrating both their past contributions and ongoing impact. In this season of life, when they may have more time to serve, they continue to play a vital role in sharing God’s love in meaningful ways.
Join Us Monthly
Join us every fourth Wednesday (Sept-May) at 11:00 AM in McDowell Fellowship Hall
Enjoy singing, sharing, praying, and a special program to encourage, educate, or equip attenders before we end with a tasty meal at noon. There is no cost, as all food is brought by various attenders each month.
Special Ministry Events
Throughout the year, we host special events designed to build community and serve others, both within the church and the broader community around us. Information for these events is found in the bulletin, our monthly newsletter, and on the bulletin board in the main hallway.
Cookie Caravan
Members prepare and organize treats that are delivered to our homebound members, accompanied by smiles and prayers.
Red Bag Project
Providing dedicated containers to help senior adults keep their prescription medicines organized and accessible.
Support Our College Students
(SOCS) – Members pray for and contribute to a fund providing gift cards to college students, maintaining their connection to their church family while away at school.
Spiritual Retreats
Regular retreats to Baptist Conference Centers at Ft. Caswell and Caraway offer opportunities for spiritual growth and refreshment.
Other Trips
Trips to Southern Supreme, Field of Makers, and other interesting places provide opportunity for members to make and deepen friendships with others much like themselves.
