Scott Davis

Rev. Scott Davis began his ministry as Associate Pastor of Music on December 11, 2017. 

 

Before coming to JHBC, he led music ministries at churches in Missouri and Iowa, and also served as Collegiate Ministries Director at the University for the Missouri Baptist Convention (SBC). He is a graduate of Truman State University (Bachelor of Music Education, 1986) and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity, Church Music emphasis, 1990).

 

Scott has a passion for using music to worship God and develop worship services that encourage people of all ages to engage and communicate their gratefulness to God for His great love and sacrifice for us. Scott also provides leadership for Higher Heights, the senior adult ministry at JHBC and invests time in working the leadership group for JHBC’s Baptist Men.

 

Scott has been married to Ann since 1986. They have two children (Katy and Ben), both

married and now living in NC. He and Ann are excited to have become grandparents in 2022.

 

Scott enjoys outdoor activities – hiking, fishing, and recently becoming SCUBA certified. Scott is also a proud member of the NC Baptist Singers and Orchestra.
